9,10-Diethoxyanthracene is an organometallic compound that is used in the production of other compounds. It has been used to study the photochemical process of photooxidation of anion radicals. 9,10-Diethoxyanthracene has also been shown to be a good absorber for ultraviolet light and has been used as a coating on silicon wafers. This compound also has electron donating properties and can form micelles with water.
