5-Amino-1-methyl-3-(2-thienyl)pyrazole (5AMP) is a chemical compound that can be used to measure the activity of enzymes in blood samples. The enzyme activity index (EAAI) is an established measurement of the level of enzyme activities. 5AMP is an important component of modified EAAI, which is a more accurate way to measure enzyme activity. It has been shown to be useful in diagnosing inflammatory diseases and infectious diseases, such as malaria and tuberculosis. 5AMP has also been shown to have properties that may allow it to treat liver steatosis, bowel disease, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, platelet aggregation, and sodium citrate deficiency.
