Levomecol is a medicinal preparation that is used to treat inflammatory diseases. It contains an oil solution and tissues in a cavity, which are applied to the skin surface. The active ingredient in Levomecol is chlorhexidine, which has antimicrobial activity against bacteria. Clinical studies have shown that Levomecol has bactericidal effects on Staphylococcus aureus. Benzalkonium chloride is also an ingredient of Levomecol that has antiseptic properties, which can be used for the treatment of oral or intestinal infections.
