The anti-inflammatory properties of MHY908 have been shown to be reactive oxygen species (ROS)-dependent, as ROS production is necessary for MHY908-induced insulin resistance. MHY908 also has neuroprotective effects on rat kidneys and protects against oxidative stress induced by ROS.
