4-Trifluoromethyl-6,7dihydro-5H-cyclopenta-pyrimidine-2-thiol is a bioactive molecule that is synthesized by the reaction of 3 acetylpyridine with chalcone in the presence of a metal ion and hydrochloric acid. The product can be used as an antiinflammatory agent. The tautomers of 4-trifluoromethyl-6,7dihydro-5H-cyclopenta-pyrimidine-2thiol are present in xylene. This compound has potent antiinflammatory activities.
