Description :8-Iodo-7-methylquinazolin-4(3H)-one (8-IMQ) is a research tool that can be used to activate ion channels. It is also known as Ligand, Receptor, Cell Biology, Antibody, Ion channels, High purity, Protein interactions, Pharmacology and Peptides. 8-IMQ has been shown to inhibit the activity of ligand binding to G protein coupled receptors and ion channels in vitro. 8-IMQ binds to the receptor site on these proteins and inhibits the opening of ion channels. This inhibition leads to an increase in the membrane potential.
