9-Phenyl-3,6-bis(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)carbazole is a dihedral molecule with a planar skeleton. The molecule has an oriented phenyl ring and the phenyl group is attached to the carbazole by a single bond. The molecule has two boron groups that are used in the synthesis of this compound. 9-Phenyl-3,6-bis(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)carbazole can be synthesized using a one pot reaction with 4 equivalents of phenylboronic acid and 2 equivalents of diborane in THF solvent at reflux for 3 hours.
