N-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)methacrylamide is a pluripotent stem cell that has the ability to differentiate into multiple cell types. It is an antioxidant molecule with hepatocyte-like properties. N-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)methacrylamide is used to produce liver cells, which have been shown to be pluripotent and able to differentiate into many different cell types. The monolayer of hepatocytes can be grown on a substrate of methyl methacrylate, which mimics the environment of a liver cell. This also allows for the study of phenotypes using cultures in vitro at temperatures that are physiologically relevant for humans.
