Informations sur le produit
2-Bromo-1-(1H-indol-3-yl)ethanone (2BIE) is a brominated indole. It is an alkaloid that has been isolated from the roots of Topsentia verna. 2BIE can be synthesized by regiospecific bromination of 3-cyanoindole with N-bromosuccinimide and potassium bromide in refluxing methanol. The sequence of the compound was determined by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, which revealed that it possesses a chiral center at C2.
