Description

Futoenone is a natural compound that has been shown to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in vitro. It inhibits MMPs by binding to the active site of these enzymes, thereby preventing them from degrading the extracellular matrix. Futoenone has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis in mice with breast cancer. It also inhibits MMP-9 expression in human stem cells.
