Informations sur le produit
2-Chloro-6-(piperidin-1-yl)pyridine is a nitro derivative of pentachloropyridine. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of peroxyacids and hydroxylamines. The 2-chloro substitution on the pyridine ring produces a n-oxide, which can be used to produce a variety of other derivatives. The n-oxides are typically obtained by reacting the corresponding nitro compound with sodium nitrite in water solution.
2C6P has been shown to react with solvents such as benzene and acetone, producing polymeric products. This reaction may be due to the electron withdrawing effect of the chlorine substituent on the pyridine ring.
