Informations sur le produit
2,5-Dimethyl-4-phenylthiazole is an aromatic aldehyde that forms hydrogen bonds with anions and aliphatic chains. It is a metallation agent and can be used to generate organometallic compounds. 2,5-Dimethyl-4-phenylthiazole reacts with butyllithium to form the corresponding tributyltin derivative. This reaction proceeds via nucleophilic addition of the methyl group in 2,5-dimethyl-4-phenylthiazole to the electrophilic tin cation generated from butyllithium. The resulting product is a mixture of four different organotin compounds: tributyltin chloride, tributyltin fluoride, tributyltin bromide, and tributyltin iodide.
