Description :
Ethyl 5-acetyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate is an experimental compound that is used in the synthesis of ethyl esters. It has a non-linear dependence on the reaction time, as well as significant rate constants for reactions with carbon tetrachloride and aliphatic alcohols. The mechanism of this reaction is not yet known, but it is thought to involve a nucleophilic substitution at position 3 of the pyrrole ring.
