3-Bromo-4'-N-propylbenzophenone is a chemotherapeutic agent that has been shown to have both chemotactic and anti-inflammatory properties. It inhibits the migration of polymorphonuclear (PMN) leukocytes, which are white blood cells that are involved in the inflammatory response. 3-Bromo-4'-N-propylbenzophenone has been shown to be effective in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases. In addition, it has been shown that this compound can be used as a chemopreventative measure against ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. The biological activity of 3-Bromo-4'-N-propylbenzophenone is due to its ability to inhibit the production of proinflammatory cytokines by inhibiting protein synthesis. This drug also has an enantiomeric effect on some tissues, such as cartilage, which may be due
