Informations sur le produit
Clopidogrel is a prodrug that is activated by esterases to form its active metabolite, acetylsalicylic acid. Clopidogrel has been shown to be effective in the prevention of thrombus formation and acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Clopidogrel has an antiplatelet effect that is selective for platelets with an increased sensitivity to inhibition. As such, it can be used in combination with aspirin or other antiplatelet drugs, such as ticlopidine, prasugrel, or tirofiban. Clopidogrel binds reversibly to platelet adenosine diphosphate receptors (ADP) and prevents ADP-mediated platelet activation. Clopidogrel is also chemically stable and can be given orally.
