Informations sur le produit
2,1,3-Benzothiadiazole-4,7-dicarbonitrile is a chromophore that has been studied as an electron donor for the reduction of viologen and sulphite. It has been shown to have a redox potential of -0.28 V and an electron affinity of 1.02 eV/electron, making it a good acceptor for electron transfer reactions. 2,1,3-Benzothiadiazole-4,7-dicarbonitrile is also capable of donating electrons to ferredoxin under certain conditions. The compound was shown to be able to reduce thiourea in micelles with a rate constant of 0.085 M-1s-1 at pH 8.5 and 25°C.
