Description :Phenyl vinyl sulfoxide is an organosulfur compound that is used as a preservative in pharmaceuticals. It inhibits the production of prostaglandin, which is involved in inflammatory responses and various other physiological processes. This binding prevents the formation of disulfide bridges in proteins, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division.
