Informations sur le produit
Ethyl 7-methoxy-1H-indole-2-carboxylate is a synthetic indole derivative. It can be prepared by the reaction of ethyl pyruvate and benzene, followed by treatment with sodium hydroxide to form the corresponding acid chloride. The compound has been shown to induce indolization in the presence of phenothiazine or other bases. The nmr spectrum shows two singlets with a coupling constant of 6 Hz for the protons on C7 and C8. The chemical shift at δ 5.79 reflects an enolizable proton in the aromatic ring, while that at δ 3.67 is assigned to a methyl group on C3.
