Description :
2-Octyn-1-ol is a volatile oil that is found in the Chinese medicinal herb Artemisia argyi. It has been shown to have stereoselective effects on the CB2 receptor and synthetic properties. The chemical structure consists of two terminal alkynes and two fatty acids, which are connected by an ester bond. 2-Octyn-1-ol has been shown to inhibit ionization techniques such as chemical ionization and ion mobility spectrometry. 2-Octyn-1-ol also has a number of physiological effects, including pheromone activity, regulation of lipid metabolism, and inhibition of the activity of certain enzymes such as fatty acid synthase.
