2-(Acetylamino)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-propenoic acid is a potent corrosion inhibitor that has been shown to be efficient in various techniques. It functions by inhibiting the electrochemical reactions between metal ions and oxygen, thus protecting the metal from corrosion. 2-(Acetylamino)-3-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-propenoic acid is used as a corrosion inhibitor in industrial processes such as steel production and oil refining.
