Description

Momordin IIA is a potent cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor that has been shown to induce apoptosis in Chinese hamster ovary cells. This compound exhibits strong anticancer activity against various types of tumors, including breast and lung cancer. Momordin IIA specifically inhibits the activity of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), which are critical regulators of cell cycle progression and proliferation. This inhibitor analog has also been detected in human urine and protein extracts. Studies have demonstrated that Momordin IIA effectively suppresses the growth of cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo, making it a promising candidate for cancer therapy.
