Informations sur le produit
2-Ethyl-6-methylbenzonitrile is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme alkoxycarbonylation, which is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds. This reversible inhibitor binds to palladium and forms a covalent bond with it, forming a complex that is catalyzed by oxygen. This irreversible inhibition leads to an accumulation of 2-ethyl-6-methylbenzonitrile and prevents the production of the desired product. 2-Ethyl-6-methylbenzonitrile is more potent than its corresponding ethyl analogue because it has a greater affinity for palladium.
