Description :
2,3-Dibromoanisole is an aromatic compound that has a prenylation reaction time of about 2 hours. It is a synthetic product that is used to produce pharmaceutical preparations and has been shown to have antiviral properties. The molecular modeling of the 5-membered heteroaryl ring suggests that 2,3-dibromoanisole will bind to the C1-C3 carbon atoms of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The sensitivity of this assay was determined to be 0.1 micrograms per milliliter.
