Cetrorelix is a group p2 antagonist that binds to the FSH receptor and prevents the binding of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). It has been shown in vitro to induce apoptosis in ovarian cancer cells. This drug has minimal toxicity, as it does not have any effect on brain functions or cause an inflammatory response. Cetrorelix is injected into the body as an injection solution that includes a pro-apoptotic protein. The chemiluminescence method is used to measure cetrorelix's effects on cell nuclei and mitochondria membrane potential.
