Dichlororuthenium(IV) is an oxidant that is used in organic synthesis. It has been shown to be a strong oxidant, and can be used for the epoxidation of styrene. Dichlororuthenium(IV) has also been shown to react with quinones and n-oxide, which have led to its use as a precursor in the synthesis of chiral epoxides. This compound is paramagnetically, immobolizing, and crystallography. It can be used for the oxidation of alkene. Dichlororuthenium(IV) is an x-ray crystallography that has a magnetic property.
