Informations sur le produit
(R)-Nepicastat Hydrochloride is a small molecule that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by targeting the sodium channel. This drug binds to the voltage-gated sodium channel and blocks the flow of ions, which leads to a decrease in cellular activity. The mechanism of action of (R)-Nepicastat Hydrochloride is similar to that of benzodiazepines, which are used as sedatives or muscle relaxants.
The drug has been shown to inhibit transcriptional activity in h295r cells and encodes for a serine protease. It also prevents damaged DNA from being repaired when it inhibits access to the damaged DNA sequence. (R)-Nepicastat Hydrochloride has been shown to be effective against cancer cells with a mutation in the gene encoding for the sodium channel, although it is not active against other types of cancer cells.
