SJB3-019A is a novel inhibitor of the proteasome. It is a small molecule that inhibits the proteasome by binding to the catalytic site, blocking the access of substrates to this site, and inhibiting the degradation of proteins. SJB3-019A has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo. It also has anti-tumor effects on leukemia cells and bone lesions in animal models. SJB3-019A has no toxicities associated with it and may be an effective treatment for some types of cancers.
