Description :
MA-0204 is a ligand that binds to the pharmacokinetic properties of five-membered amides. MA-0204 has been shown to bind to the ligand binding domain in muscle, which is responsible for the regulation of fatty acid oxidation. This drug also has modulatory effects on fatty acid metabolism and may inhibit the oxidation of fatty acids. In addition, MA-0204 may inhibit other metabolic pathways such as disfavored heterocycles and imidazole, which are present in some antibiotics. Finally, MA-0204 has been shown to have an isosteric hexanoic acid that may be useful for treating metabolic disorders that are caused by mutations in mitochondrial DNA.
