GSK-3484862 is a methyltransferase inhibitor that prevents the addition of methyl groups to DNA, which is required for DNA replication. GSK-3484862 has been shown to induce cytotoxicity and genotoxic effects in cancer cells. The drug also induces morphological changes in cancer cells and inhibits cell proliferation. GSK-3484862 has been shown to cause demethylation of histone H3, which leads to decreased expression of genes associated with cell cycle progression and increased expression of genes associated with differentiation. This drug has also been shown to be effective against a range of cancers including breast, prostate, pancreatic, lung, colon, and leukemia.
