QZ59S-SSS is a new drug candidate for the treatment of cancer. It is a peptidomimetic that has been optimized for binding to the membrane and exhibited multidrug resistance. QZ59S-SSS binds to the lipid bilayer of the cell membrane, which allows it to cross into cells. The amphipathic nature of this molecule means that it can bind to both hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions on the surface of cells, making it an effective drug candidate against cancer.
