Informations sur le produit
Thalidomide is a teratogenic drug that was once prescribed to pregnant women to combat morning sickness. It is a known inhibitor of protein interactions, as well as an activator of ion channels and receptor. Thalidomide is also used as a research tool for pharmacology, cell biology, and biochemistry.
Thalidomide has been shown to inhibit the activity of the enzyme tyrosine phosphatase in cells from rats with cerebral palsy by binding to the enzyme's active site. This inhibition leads to increased levels of tyrosine kinase-mediated signaling pathways and downstream effects on gene expression in the cell.
