(S)-4-(3-Bromophenyl)-6,8-dichloro-2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline is an enantiomerically pure chiral ligand that has been used in experimental and computational studies of asymmetric catalysis. It was obtained by the reaction of (R)-(+)-2-amino-5-(bromophenyl)pentanoic acid with 2,6-dichloroisonicotinoyl chloride.
