Description

2,4-Diphenyl-1-butenylphenoxyN,N-dimethylethylamine (2DPB) is a natural compound that has been shown to have cytotoxic effects in breast cancer cell lines. 2DPB is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that binds to the estrogen receptor and alters its shape, which blocks the binding of estrogens. 2DPB has also been shown to have antiestrogenic activity in human breast cancer tissues. The drug has been studied as a potential treatment for breast cancer because it targets the estrogen receptor and prevents the growth of tumor cells in preclinical models.
