Description :
(S)-2-Aminotetralin is an agrochemical that is used in the synthesis of aziridines. It can be used to synthesize aziridines from chloroacetamide with a process optimization and yields. The catalytic hydrogenolysis of (S)-2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzofuran provides the corresponding 2-(aminomethyl)aziridine. Aziridines are chiral molecules that contain an aziridine ring with two carbon atoms and two nitrogen atoms. They have been shown to be useful for the treatment of certain cancers.
