The molecule was found to have a variety of effects on cell growth, including inhibition of insulin-like growth factor-i (IGF-I) induced cell proliferation. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties and may be used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
