Description :Cambogin is a natural compound that exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer activities. It has been shown to inhibit the production of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes by acting on cell factor (a protein that regulates the proliferation of cells). Cambogin also has toxicological studies in vivo, showing a protective effect against collagen gel-induced erythema. Cambogin exhibits cytotoxicity in vitro and can be used as an anticancer agent. Cell proliferation was inhibited and apoptosis was induced in HL60 cells. This compound also induces changes in cellular physiology through cell signaling pathways, such as the inhibition of Ca2+ uptake into the cytosol.
