2-Amino-1,1,3,3-tetradeuterio-2-[2-(4-octylphenyl)ethyl]propane-1,3-diol is a drug that belongs to the class of fingolimod. It is a direct inhibitor of lymphocyte migration and activation. 2-Amino-1,1,3,3-tetradeuterio-2-[2-(4-octylphenyl)ethyl]propane-1,3-diol has been shown to have linearity in the range of 0.01 µg/mL to 1 µg/mL with a low limit of detection. The drug has been validated for use in human pharmacokinetic studies and has been shown to be selective for biphenyl as an extractable analyte. 2AAD has also been shown to be quantifiable using either reaction monitoring or selectivity methods.
