Informations sur le produit
3-Bromo-7-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one is an electron acceptor. It has been shown to yield high yields of 2,6-dichloroquinoxaline with acetonitrile as a solvent. 3-Bromo-7-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one is activated by substituents such as nitro, cyano, or halo groups on the aromatic ring and reacts with nucleophilic reagents such as hydroxide ion or mercuric chloride. This reagent exhibits regioselectivity that favors substitution at the 3 position and selectivity for electron donation to the more substituted carbonyl. Additives can be used to improve reaction efficiency and minimize side reactions.
