Informations sur le produit
Ethyl 4-aminooxane-4-carboxylate (EACA) is a synthetic analgesic that belongs to the class of hydroxamic acids. It has been shown to have potential risks in animal studies, and has been evaluated as a potential drug for pain relief. EACA binds to the molybdenum cofactor in the human enzyme dihydropteroate synthase, inhibiting the synthesis of folate. This leads to accumulation of pterins and inhibition of purine synthesis. This drug is metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes into an active form, which inhibits cell growth and induces apoptosis in mycobacterium cells.
