Description

(1S,2S)-2-(Anthracene-2,3-dicarboximido)cyclohexanecarboxylic acid is a compound of the anthracene-2,3-dicarboximide family. It is synthesized from cyclohexanecarboxylic acid by esterification with an acylating agent. The compound has been detected in the hydrolysate of an organic extract and as a component in micelle preparations. (1S,2S)-2-(Anthracene-2,3-dicarboximido)cyclohexanecarboxylic acid exists as a white powder that can be dissolved in chlorinated solvents. This compound has mass spectral data available and appears to have a molecular formula of C14H8O4N4. The 1H NMR spectrum also confirms this. The IR spectrum has bands at 825 cm-1,
