Apigenin-7-diglucuronide is a phenolic compound that has been shown to have biological properties. It is a natural flavonoid found in plants and is the 7-O-glucuronide of apigenin. Apigenin-7-diglucuronide has been investigated for its potential use as an antiinflammatory drug, with experimental models showing that it inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines such as IL1β and TNFα, which are associated with degenerative diseases. Apigenin-7-diglucuronide has also been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor cells in vitro, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis.
