Informations sur le produit
1-Bromo-2-phenylnaphthalene is a ligand that binds to metal ions, such as Cu(II). 1-Bromo-2-phenylnaphthalene is a synthetic compound and its crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction. The compound has two allyl ligands with different efficiencies. The 1,2 isomer (1-bromo-2-(2′-allyl)naphthalene) has a kinetic efficiency of 98% while the 1,1 isomer (1-bromo-2-(1′-allyl)naphthalene) has a kinetic efficiency of only 8%. This difference in efficiencies may be due to steric hindrance. The two stereoisomers can be distinguished by their C-H bond lengths: the C-H bonds in the 1,2 isomer are shorter than those in the 1,1 isomer.
