Formetorex is a synthetic, unlabeled drug that has potent antagonist effects on histamine receptors. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for inflammatory diseases in rats and humans. Formetorex has also been used as a pharmaceutical dosage to treat cancer and other conditions in animals. Formetorex was originally synthesized by adding acetylated fatty acids to the end of the long chain fatty acid pathway, which was then reconstituted with lipids and phospholipids. This compound was later found to have anti-inflammatory properties when tested on animals. Formetorex is usually administered orally, but can also be injected or implanted into the body. The magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) technique can be used to study the chemical composition of this compound and determine its effectiveness as a treatment for various diseases in humans.
