Amoproxan is an agonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and has been shown to activate this receptor in rat cortical neurons. It is also an inhibitor of pro-inflammatory TNF-α and IL-1β release from human monocytes, as well as being a high purity reagent for antibody production. Amoproxan is stable at room temperature and can be stored for up to 3 months at 4°C.
