Description :
Deet Ω-carboxylic acid is a natural compound found in plants and animals. It is an ion channel blocker that has been shown to prevent the passage of ions through voltage-gated channels in cells. Deet Ω-carboxylic acid is used as an analytical reagent for determining kinetic energy, morphology, and enzyme activities. Deet Ω-carboxylic acid has also been used as a restenosis inhibitor by inhibiting the cation channels that are required for cell proliferation. The use of deet Ω-carboxylic acid to prevent fertility has not yet been studied.
