Deoxydihydroartemisinin-d3 is a hydroxy group that has been synthesized from artemisinin. It has an active substance, which can be converted to the corresponding isomer by microbial metabolism. Deoxydihydroartemisinin-d3 can inhibit the growth of coccidia and also show cytotoxic activity in vitro. The compound has been shown to have anti-cancer effects in vivo and also inhibits the replication of viruses.
