Description

Erythrisenegalone is a flavonoid derivative that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antihypertensive, and hypoglycemic effects. It is also a potent inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase. Erythrisenegalone has been shown to inhibit the growth of HL-60 cells in culture with a dose-dependent effect and significant cytotoxicity. It also inhibits the proliferation of human macrophages by reducing their production of inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β).
