4-(Aminomethyl)pyridin-3-amine dihydrochloride is a drug that belongs to the class of non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. It inhibits HIV replication and has been shown to be synergistic with benzalkonium chloride, which is an antiseptic used in detergents. The structural analysis of 4-(aminomethyl)pyridin-3-amine dihydrochloride was determined by two-way crossover experiments on calf thymus DNA.
