Jacoline is a natural product derived from the Jacaranda tree. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on tumour growth in solid tumours and pancreatitis. The mechanism of action of Jacoline is not fully understood, but it may be due to its ability to induce specific antibodies that block the binding of carcinogenic molecules to their receptors. In addition, this drug also blocks bacterial translocation in rats with experimental pancreatitis and prevents cell proliferation by blocking protein synthesis.
