Description :
Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to treat gastric ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid production. Omeprazole is an H2-receptor antagonist that blocks the production of stomach acid by inhibiting the action of the H2-receptor on parietal cells in the stomach lining. Omeprazole works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach, which helps relieve heartburn, indigestion, and other symptoms caused by too much stomach acid. Omeprazole D3 is a new formulation of omeprazole that has been shown to be more effective than standard omeprazole in patients with atrophic gastritis or dyspepsia.
